Killian Reid. Even saying his name makes my panties damp. He has to be the sexiest man I’ve ever met, even if he is twenty-one years older than me. I’ve been crushing on him since I was fifteen. For six years, my Christmas wish has been for Killian to notice me. I never thought it was possible – until now.
Holy hell. It was supposed to be a quick peck on the lips under some mistletoe, but damn. Little Danika Parker isn’t all that little anymore, with curves in all the right places. I’m pretty sure I’ll be reliving that hot as fuck kiss for a while. This Christmas, the only present I want to unwrap is her.

There were only three weeks left until Christmas arrived, and I was so not prepared. I hadn’t told my parents, but something had happened Thanksgiving night that sent me into a depression that I was just now climbing out of. And if things went according to plan, they’d never find out. I just wanted to forget the entire thing and move on with my life. Like putting up Christmas decorations.
Killian Reid was supposed to deliver my tree today, and he was two hours late. Not that I could complain. As the brother of my mom’s best friend, he was doing it as a favor, and not getting paid. Honestly, just getting to look at him was reason enough to offer payment. He might be forty-two to my twenty-one, but the man was F-I-N-E. He’d never given me more than a passing glance, but then, I hadn’t seen him in a few years. I’d like to think I’d grown up a lot since my eighteenth birthday. I’d certainly gained some curves.
The sound of a truck pulling into my driveway had me rushing to the window to peek outside. Killian’s red truck was idling, then the engine went silent, and the sexiest man on earth stepped out. My heart skipped a beat every time I saw him. Even from a distance, I could appreciate the way he filled out a shirt. I snagged my bottom lip between my teeth as he hefted my tree out of the back of his truck, making his biceps bulge.
Rushing to the front door, I threw it open and smiled brightly. “Hey, Killian.”
“Danika.” His eyes twinkled as he gave me a sexy smirk, one that always made my panties damp. “Where do you want this tree?”
“In the living room.”
I stepped back and let him inside, then shut the door behind him. Finding a live Christmas tree in southern California wasn’t always an easy task. There were a few tree lots, if you knew where to look. Killian set the tree in the base and tightened the screws. I had a pitcher of water waiting and poured it into the pan once he was finished.
“I don’t see any decorations,” he said, looking around my sparse living room.
“They’re in the garage. I need to borrow Dad’s ladder in order to take them down. Last year, he put them on the top shelf along the back wall of the garage, and now I can’t reach them.”
Amusement lit Killian’s chocolate eyes. “Maybe if you’d ever finished growing, you wouldn’t have any trouble.”
My eyes narrowed. “I’ll have you know I’m now five feet tall.”
“A whole five feet?”
I smacked him on the arm and fought the urge to rub his bicep. “Smartass. I worked hard to get to five feet. I ate every vegetable Mom put in front of me and drank way more milk than anyone should ever have to endure.”
He chuckled and tucked his hands into his jean pockets. “Want me to get the decorations down for you?”
“Are you sure you wouldn’t mind?”
“I don’t have anything better to do right now. Besides, with my luck, you’ll fall off your dad’s ladder, then your mom will blame me when you break your neck.”
“So, this is more of a self-preservation thing than a chivalry thing?”
“Maybe it’s both.”
